Main purpose of the role:
The Marketing Assistant is an important part of the AYBL team, providing essential support to ensure the smooth operation and growth of the marketing department. This role involves managing administrative tasks, maintaining up-to-date influencer databases, assisting with athlete invoicing, and enhancing the athlete experience through thoughtful gifting initiatives.
Roles & responsibilities:
● Sample Management: Work closely with the warehouse team to manage athlete samples. Coordinate the distribution and tracking of samples to athletes for new launches.
● Communicate new product launches, restocks, sales and events with the wider marketing team.
● Athlete Visits/Trips/Photoshoots: Assist with booking hotels, flights, accommodations, packing outfits and creating itineraries for athlete visits. Ensure all travel plans are well-coordinated and communicated effectively to wider team members.
● Assist the marketing team in maintaining and updating influencer databases and related documents.
● Enhance the athlete experience by sending birthday cards, creating pump covers, maintaining gifting stock, organizing Christmas gifts, and managing "always-on" extras for athletes.
● Attend some athlete events/days/photoshoots as and when required.
● Assist the wider marketing team with any athlete payments/invoices by ensuring payment details are accurate and up to date.
● Provide cover for colleagues on annual leave, ensuring seamless operations (sending messages, managing emails etc).
● Provide support to your line manager with any additional tasks as required, ensuring smooth operations and contributing to team objectives.
● Support in identifying and onboarding new athletes during quieter periods
Requirements:
● A passion for the fitness / athleisure industry
● A keen interest in marketing
● Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
● Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
● Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
● Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
● Able to work independently and as part of a team
● Confident, self-motivated and proactive
